As many of you already know, my husband accepted a fantastic job offer and we are headed back to my home state of California. We will actually be living in the same apartment complex that my husband was living in, when we first started dating. We will be one city over from my hometown and in a very familiar areas.
I'm excited for new adventures and thrilled to be moving near so many close friends. However, I'm also sad to be leaving Colorado, especially my job as a bookseller at Tattered Cover. As I write this post, I have four shifts remaining and I'm dreading saying goodbye to everyone.
It was my experiences at Tattered Cover that led to the creation of Books Inside Boxes. It has been life changing for me, and I'm looking forward to expanding Books Inside Boxes in the coming year.
This move has meant a temporary closure of the Books Inside Boxes store. I will be taking inventory and hoping to reopen the store at the end of February. I have all of the products for the March Literary Road Trip box and anticipate that they will be sent on schedule. The March box has four slots open for new subscribers, and although the Books Inside Boxes Store is closed as far as physical products, you can still order subscriptions.
I'm behind with the blog post regarding Shakespeare & Co, our January indie partner from Missoula, which will be written soon. I will also be announcing the February Box and book club for the featured book. The February box sold-out several weeks ago and a majority of the subscribers have received their boxes. I'm starting to see subscribers sharing their boxes on social media, which is always a thrill.
Thank you for bearing with me during this big life transition. Moving is not easy. Things have been a bit bumpy this month and I'm looking forward to getting settled in California. I also really want to sit with a book and not feel guilty that should be packing instead!
