On the last Saturday in April we celebrate Independent Bookstore Day! It's a fantastic day to shop at your favorite independent bookstore and show them some love. Many of the stores host parties and special giveaways too. It's a day that I always look forward to working.
This year, I will be traveling, instead of working at Tattered Cover. I'm sad to be missing out on our store's festivities, however, I have plans to celebrate the day by visiting a bookstore in a different state next Saturday. Keep an eye out for Instagram posts of my book-related adventures and I also hope that you'll share yours.
In honor of Independent Bookstore Day, I'm hosting a giveaway for current subscribers to my Literary Road Trip Box series. I will be giving away two virtual gift cards for Bookshop.org to two different subscribers. The names of current subscribers will be put in a bowl and chosen through a random draw. The drawing will take place on Friday, April 26th at 10 am mountain time. All current subscribers, as of 9:30 am mountain time on April 26th, 2024, will be eligible to win and the digital gift cards will sent immediately after the raffle. Bookshop.org is a great resource to help indie bookstores. The winners of the gift certificates will be able to choose the indie bookstore that they'd like to support when shop on the site.
