The September featured book is Laura McHugh's mystery The Weight of Blood. Set in the Ozark mountains, the story follows Lucy, a woman who is haunted by the disappearance of her mother and the brutal murder of her close friend. As Lucy searches for answers, she finds that her community holds dark secrets. Creepy and atmospheric!
 
Our indie bookstore partner for September is Skylark Bookshop. Located in Columbia, this amazing indie opened in 2018. I will be sharing more about Skylark, including my quick visit during our summer road trip, in an upcoming blog post.
